WELCOME TO WOMEN’S MINISTRY!
Our priority is to provide opportunities for women to go deeper with God through Bible studies and other activities. In the process, we get to know each other more intimately, pray for one another’s needs and be the Church to one another.
WOMEN’S SPRING BIBLE STUDY
Going Deeper: Future Hope in Revelation (offered at 9:00 AM only) | $0
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near (Revelation 1:3).
The study of the book of Revelation can be intimidating and in this class we hope to provide a place to ponder and ask questions of this unique book. This class will coincide with the sermons on Sunday mornings and will have a reading schedule to follow along with. Much of our time together will be discussion based as we wrestle through the text.
NOTE: If you would like the scripture journals as we have had in the past, you are welcome to purchase your own ESV Illuminated Scripture journal on Amazon.
You Are a Theologian by Jen Wilkin and J.T. English (offered at 9:00 AM only) | $20
Theology can be intimidating. But it doesn’t have to be. Whether conversations about theology have felt out of reach, over your head, or irrelevant, consider this book an invitation to the dialogue. This class includes a supplementary workbook, teaching sessions, memory verse challenges, and group discussion. This is not Jen Wilkin’s typical Bible Study with video teaching. This is a book we are adapting for a classroom setting.
WOMEN’S SUMMER BIBLE STUDY
GOING DEEPER: Sermon Response (offered Jun 4–Jul 23 at 9:00 AM only) | $0
This class will coincide with the sermons on Sunday mornings to give space for further discussion and application in a small group setting. This is a great place to bring your observations and questions, and to dig deeper into the text with other women.
When You Pray (offered Jun 4–Jul 23 at 9:00 AM) | $28
In this 7-session study, join with six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ. Registration includes workbook and video teachings from Kelly Minter, Jackie Hill Perry, Jen Wilkin, Jennifer Rothschild, Jada Edwards, and Kristi McLelland.
NOTE: Classes will not meet on Tuesday, June 18 for VBS. Childcare is available at 9:00 AM for birth through 6th grade. You can register for Childcare Tuesday Morning on the Children’s Ministry web page.
WOMEN’S FALL BIBLE STUDY
We are offering two classes for the fall session that runs August 15–November 14.
GOD OF FREEDOM: a Study of Exodus 19-40 by Jen Wilkin (offered Aug 15—Oct 31 at 9:00 AM only) | $22
Every book of the Bible tells us what is true about God. In Genesis we see Him as Creator and Covenant Maker. In Exodus we see Him as our strong Deliverer who sets us free from sin and death.
In this 10-session study of Exodus 19–40, journey through the story of how God shepherds His newly-liberated children into an understanding of what their freedom means: lives consecrated for service to God and to one another. Revisit familiar scenes of the giving of the Ten Commandments, the idolatrous worship of a golden calf, and of the intricate details of the tabernacle. And with fresh perspective, ask what these stories teach God’s children today about how to live as those set free.
READING THE PSALMS: Chapters 73-150 (offered Aug 15–Nov 14 at 9:00 AM & 7:00 PM) | $0 or $12 (with optional scripture journal)
In this class we will be reading through the second half of the book of Psalms (Chapters 73-150). We will provide a reading schedule to follow along with during our weeks together and will gather on Tuesdays to discuss how the Spirit is teaching us from the Psalms. The book of Psalms was written to help instruct us to pray with greater hope. We desire that this study would help us pray throughout the ups and downs.
