WELCOME TO WOMEN’S MINISTRY!
Our priority is to provide opportunities for women to go deeper with God through Bible studies and other activities. In the process, we get to know each other more intimately, pray for one another’s needs and be the Church to one another.
WOMEN’S FALL BIBLE STUDY
We are offering two classes for the fall session that runs August 15–November 14.
GOD OF FREEDOM: a Study of Exodus 19-40 by Jen Wilkin (offered Aug 15—Oct 31 at 9:00 AM only) | $22
Every book of the Bible tells us what is true about God. In Genesis we see Him as Creator and Covenant Maker. In Exodus we see Him as our strong Deliverer who sets us free from sin and death.
In this 10-session study of Exodus 19–40, journey through the story of how God shepherds His newly-liberated children into an understanding of what their freedom means: lives consecrated for service to God and to one another. Revisit familiar scenes of the giving of the Ten Commandments, the idolatrous worship of a golden calf, and of the intricate details of the tabernacle. And with fresh perspective, ask what these stories teach God’s children today about how to live as those set free.
READING THE PSALMS: Chapters 73-150 (offered Aug 15–Nov 14 at 9:00 AM & 7:00 PM) | $0 or $12 (with optional scripture journal)
In this class we will be reading through the second half of the book of Psalms (Chapters 73-150). We will provide a reading schedule to follow along with during our weeks together and will gather on Tuesdays to discuss how the Spirit is teaching us from the Psalms. The book of Psalms was written to help instruct us to pray with greater hope. We desire that this study would help us pray throughout the ups and downs.
WOMEN’S SUMMER BIBLE STUDY
We are offering two classes for the summer session that runs June 13–July 25.
BREATHE: Making Room for Sabbath by Priscilla Shirer (offered at 9:00 AM only) | $15
One of the greatest challenges among women in our culture is taking time to cease from all the activities and just breathe. We are in bondage to busyness. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss out on some of God’s greatest gifts. In the Old Testament, Sabbath was given to the Israelites as a gift, and it is still a gift to us today. If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted, then the concept of Sabbath will change your life.
GOING DEEPER: I & II Kings (offered at all meeting times) | FREE
In this class we will be following along with our summer sermon series on the books of I & II Kings. We will provide a reading schedule to follow along with during our weeks together and will gather on Tuesdays to unpack what we are learning through our reading and through the Sunday morning teaching. We hope that through this series we can encourage each other to contemplate more deeply how the Spirit would change our hearts through Scripture.
