CLASS NOTES
These notes were written by the elders here at Red Mountain and are from multi-session Bible classes they taught. We pray that they may serve as resources for you as you deepen your understanding of Scripture, the Trinity and your identity as God’s beloved son/daughter.
The Holy Spirit
The Bible reveals Yahweh, the God of the universe, as the one and only God and that no other God has existed or will ever exist. The Bible also reveals that Yahweh is one in His essence or substance and, as one essence, exists as three persons called the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Two version of notes are available: notes for the Getting to Know the Holy Spirit class and Dave’s extended notes, which add greater detail to a study on the Holy Spirit.
Responding to Hard Questions
Do you or someone you know wonder about these questions? If God is real, why isn’t He more obvious? Doesn’t modern science adequately explain everything without the need for God? Why would a loving, all powerful God allow evil and suffering? How could He send innocent people to hell? Can He really be so narrow minded to provide only one way of salvation?
This class was taught by Richard Weisenburger and provides reliable reasons for the Christian faith.
Revelation
This book reveals or unveils Jesus Christ (Revelation 1:1) as the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth (Revelation 1:5). Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, was covered in Revelation chapters one through three, Jesus Christ, the firstborn of the dead, was covered in chapters four and five, and Jesus Christ, ruler of kings on earth, started in chapter six and continues to the end of the book.
Romans
The apostle Paul wrote the letter to the Romans for the purpose of explaining the wonders of our salvation in Christ Jesus. We seek to grow in our understanding of the things that God has planned for us through the gospel that has been given to us.
