MONDAYS:

Entrusted - A Study of 2 Timothy [$14]

by Beth Moore
January 22-April 23, 2018
7-8:30 AM - Led by Cindi Hickman
7-8:30 PM - Led by Missy Crimmins and Cindy Mills

We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves.

In this 6-session Bible study (which we will stretch to 12 sessions, as the videos are lengthy), Beth will encourage us to guard what God has entrusted to us, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy. Because in this journey of joy and hardship, we need each other to stay the course and live a life of faithfulness.

For Women Only: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men [$17]

by Shaunti Feldman
January 23-April 3, 2018
9:00-11:00 AM - Led by Connie Chapman and Della Zwick
For Women Only will help us love the men in our lives for who they really are. This 9-week study will reveal what men would like for us to know about them but struggle to communicate.

Based on rigorous research with thousands of men, we will learn why respect means more than love, how a man feels deep inside about his role as a provider, what it means for a man to be “visually wired,” and more. The book provides practical tips that are based on biblical truths about the differences in men and women and why being understood can be so difficult.

For Women Only is for all women, whether single, married or dating. This information can be used to better understand all the men in our lives, including sons, siblings, or fathers.

Genesis (Chapters 12-50) [$32]

by Kay Arthur
January 23-April 24, 2018
9:00-11:00 AM - Led by Cheryl Washburn
This 13-week Precept Upon Precept class is divided into 3 parts: “Abraham” (Ch 12-25), “Isaac, Jacob and Esau” (Ch 24-36) and “Joseph” (Ch 37-50).

In Part 1 Abraham is called “the friend of God.” From him we will learn lessons that will ground our faith, challenge our walks, and give us hope for the future. In Part 2, God renews His covenant promise with Abraham through Isaac and Jacob. Two struggling nations arise from Isaac’s sons, Jacob and Esau. The truths we learn about God can guide our faith, helping us see His purposes in our lives. Part 3’s study of Joseph is our manual for handling situations where we’ve suffered from injustice, teaching us how to rise above difficulties by trusting God.

Come along to discover truth for ourselves as we dive into Genesis using inductive Bible study.

NOTE: The first week’s homework should be completed before class on January 23 kick-off brunch.

The Book of James [$3]

January 23-March 6, 2018
9:00-11:00 AM - Led by Sarah Fox
James is known as the “wisdom literature” of the New Testament, and is written by Jesus’ half brother. This short book of five chapters was written to followers of Jesus to challenge them to have lives that line up with their beliefs. In this 6-week study we will read through the book of James together and discuss what the Spirit is teaching us as we study.

The first week of class we will be going over helpful ways to read our Bibles more deeply so that in the weeks that follow we will be able to read scripture on our own. The class will be less structured around teaching time and instead allow time for discussion and dialogue over the text. This class is for anyone who wants to grow in their understanding of the book of James, gain confidence in reading scripture and participate in reading scripture in community.

Please bring your own journal of at least 50 pages, or there will be journals available for purchase.

Homework: 2-3 hours/week
