CHAMPION Hoops Camp  June 21-25
Camp fee: $75

1st-3rd grade: 8:30-10:45 a.m.
4th-6th grade: Noon-2:30 p.m.
7th-9th grade: 3-5:45 p.m.

CHAMPION Hoops Camp will teach the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and encouraging environment.

Kids (grades 1 thru 9) will engage in team games, skills challenges and different contests throughout the week. Melvin Adams, a former Harlem Globetrotter will speak and challenge the kids on how to be a better person, both on the court and in life.

Overcoming incredibly negative circumstances with hard work and practice Melvin rose above it all to become a standout high school, college and professional basketball player. Retiring in 2000, Melvin has dedicated his life to reaching out to youth nationwide.

He is loud. With a quick wit and a huge grin, when he walks into the room, he definitely makes his presence known. Yet don’t confuse "loud" for "boastful," as Melvin is one of the most humble athletes around.

He has shared his story with over 2,000,000 youth worldwide at assemblies, basketball camps, on TV, and a variety of other venues. Yet beyond all of this, Melvin is a great guy with the incredible gift of storytelling and a desire to encourage young people to pursue their dreams.
