JH Dodge Ball Extravaganza
- April 4, 2012
- Time: 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Dodgeball is awesome. Poverty isn’t. It’s estimated that around 1 billion people live on less than one dollar a day. It’s also estimated that this form of extreme poverty could be eradicated within 20 years.
It’s difficult to imagine this kind of poverty here in the United States, but it’s a reality that calls us to action. Jesus commanded us to take care of the marginalized and poor. We can make a difference, and we can even have a little creative fun doing it. Dodgeball Extravaganza is a dodgeball tournament with a purpose. You create a team of six players, get some money and uniforms together, play some dodgeball, and help end poverty. Plus, you can compete to win the coveted Golden Dodgeball.
Global Support Mission, a non-profit organization based in Nashville, is committed to seeing a movement of compassion wipe out hunger, disease, and extreme poverty. All of the proceeds from the Dodgeball Extravaganza will go to GSM for community development in Uganda, such as the building of fresh water wells and providing education and medical aid for children.
